We caught Will Dunlap
playing live at a craft fair on South Lamar while visiting the Horseshoe Lounge last week. It's always great to be driving around Austin and hear bands playing outside. When I grew up in Austin this was everywhere. Joe King Carrasco
would be out playing guitar in the middle of traffic in front of Jalepeno Charlie's on Barton Springs...You could listen to whoever was at The Split Rail or the Armadillo while walking down the street...6th street hadn't really been invented yet. Austin was all about beer gardens and good friends. Either it never left or it's coming back and I like it.
