wooden railway bridge
I don't know how old this is or whether they used wood for cheapness or because metal was too expensive/ hard to get in whichever days those were, but it is very pretty and appeals to me very much. Another example of the countryishness that permeates this city. ¶ posted by alice at 4:33 PM

Is this bridge the wooden trestle near Leander? If so, it was built in 1882.

Great picture! Chattanooga is like that with lots of country atmosphere within the city.
